These terms govern your use of Tailsworth. By using the service, you're agreeing to them. We've written them to be as readable as possible — if anything is unclear, write to us at hello@tailsworth.com.
The service
Tailsworth is a portrait creation and product service. Members can create unlimited digital portraits, download them, and order physical products. Non-members can order gift portraits and gift cards without a subscription. We reserve the right to change or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.
Your account
- —You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- —You're responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- —You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- —One account per person. Don't share your account with others.
Membership and billing
- —Membership is billed on a recurring basis at the frequency you choose (monthly or annual).
- —You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- —We don't offer refunds for the current billing period, but we won't charge you again after you cancel.
- —If a payment fails, we'll let you know and give you time to update your details before suspending access.
Your portraits and content
When you upload a photo and create a portrait, you own the portrait. You can use it for personal or commercial purposes without restriction.
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it — that it's yours, or that you have permission from whoever it belongs to. You remain responsible for the photos you upload.
We don't use your photos to train AI models. We don't share your photos or portraits with anyone except as necessary to fulfill your order.
Acceptable use
Don't use Tailsworth to create anything you wouldn't be comfortable with us seeing. Specifically:
- —Don't upload photos you don't have the right to use.
- —Don't use the service for anything illegal, harmful, or harassing.
- —Don't attempt to circumvent technical limits or security measures.
- —Don't create portraits designed to deceive, defame, or harm anyone.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Physical products and orders
- —Once an order has been submitted and production has begun, it can't be changed or cancelled.
- —If a product arrives damaged, contact us within a reasonable timeframe with a photo and your order number. We'll make it right.
- —Delivery times are estimates. We're not responsible for delays caused by the carrier.
- —For international orders, you may be responsible for customs duties and taxes.
Gift cards
- —Gift cards don't expire.
- —Gift cards aren't refundable.
- —Lost or stolen gift card codes can't be replaced.
Limitation of liability
Tailsworth is provided as-is. We do our best to make it good, but we can't guarantee it'll always be available or work perfectly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Tailsworth after that means you've agreed to the updated terms.
